Bryce Young named Panthers' biggest surprise of 2026

Bryce Young has been named the Carolina Panthers’ biggest surprise of 2026 by Kristopher Knox of Bleacher Report, despite an unexpected detour for the team. The Eagles’ quarterback, Jalen Hurts, was not in the spotlight this time because Young was placed on injured reserve due to a blood clot. The article frames the move as a contrast: while Carolina is expected to get right tackle Taylor Moton back after a similar issue, Young has emerged in his fourth NFL season. Through the early part of the year, Young has thrown for 1,268 yards—leading the league through four weeks—with nine touchdowns, two interceptions, and a 100.0 QB rating.
