CANNONBALL! $22 million Fourth of July water roller coaster coming to Holiday World
Holiday World is set to add Cannonball!, a $22 million water roller coaster scheduled to open in May 2027 at Holiday World & Splashin’ Safari in Santa Claus, Indiana. Announced as the largest single-attraction investment in park history, the ride will lift guests 90 feet, then send them through more than 1,000 feet of track before splashing into the water. The attraction is billed as the fastest water roller coaster in the nation and will feature the tallest drop in the United States, with a maximum speed of 45 mph. Designed by Mack Rides in Waldkirch, Germany, Cannonball! is themed to a Fourth of July community center pool party and is connected to the park’s existing cannonball dive tradition. The minimum height requirement is 42 inches with an adult or 48 inches unaccompanied. Tickets include both parks, with free unlimited soft drinks, sunscreen, and parking. It joins the park’s family-focused lineup in the Fourth of July section.
