Cannonball! water coaster coming to Holiday World in 2027
Cannonball! water coaster coming to Holiday World in 2027 marks a major new attraction for the Indiana theme park, with construction underway for a $22 million water roller coaster opening in May 2027. Holiday World says Cannonball! will be the fastest water roller coaster in the United States and will include the nation’s tallest drop at 75 feet. The ride is themed around a Fourth of July community pool party and a cannonball dive competition, lifting guests up to 90 feet before more than 1,000 feet of track and a final large splash. Its maximum speed is listed at 45 mph. The coaster is designed by Mack Rides of Waldkirch, Germany, and will be the first of its kind in the Midwest and the third built in the United States. Riders must be at least 42 inches tall with an adult or 48 inches unaccompanied. Holiday World’s Fourth of July section will debut the ride as the new marquee attraction, with 2027 Platinum Passholders getting early access during June and July.
