Case for Keenum: Bears prepare QB3 for possible start Monday

Chicago Bears coach Ben Johnson said Case Keenum is the quarterback practicing as the team prepares for Monday night’s visit to the Philadelphia Eagles after starter Caleb Williams injured his hamstring in Week 2 against the Vikings. Williams has not been ruled out, and he’s been working in a limited, coaching-focused role this week. Backup Tyson Bagent, dealing with a concussion, also remains in doubt. Johnson noted he’s never started a backup QB in his NFL coaching career. Keenum, 38, has 66 career starts and showed command of the scheme during preseason, including 25-of-40 passing for 354 yards and two TDs in August.
