Chiefs Rookie and Sophomore Power Rankings: Assessing the Landscape at Bye Week

The Kansas City Chiefs are 4-0 and, with the bye week arriving, the team’s rookies and sophomores are getting a closer look. Brett Veach’s latest classes have brought both highs and lows so far, and the ranking assesses each 53-man roster player into tiers, excluding defensive tackle Omarr Norman-Lott, who is on the physically unable to perform list. In the “young standout” group are CB Nohl Williams, RB Emmett Johnson, CB Mansoor Delane, DE R Mason Thomas and DT Peter Woods. Williams remains a promising secondary piece despite two costly penalties. Thomas has bounced back, posting five Week 4 pressures. The article flags several “to-be-determined” players, including OT Kahlil Benson, DE Ashton Gillotte and WR Jalen Royals.
