College Football Rankings: Big Shake Ups For Texas, Tennessee, Ole Miss; New No.2 & More

Miami remains No. 1 in the AP Top 25 after a 52-23 win over Pittsburgh, highlighted by Darian Mensah’s 387 passing yards and four touchdowns and Malachi Toney’s school-record 16 catches for 194 yards and three scores. Ohio State moved up to No. 2 despite a bye, but the bigger storyline is a potential QB issue: Julian Sayin injured a throwing shoulder in last week’s 19-15 win over Indiana. Notre Dame holds No. 3 after a 28-24 loss to BYU, with attention shifting after a Big 12 acknowledgment of an officiating error on CJ Carr’s final pass. Georgia stays No. 4, and Indiana rises to No. 5 after a 13-6 OT win at Michigan.
