Cowboys selected in 7-rd All-NFL redraft for teams in win-now mode
In an NFL.com exercise placing every team in a “win-now” mode, analyst Chad Reuter drafted rosters for all 32 clubs through seven rounds using the same draft order as April’s amateur draft, aiming to gauge talent entering the 2026 season. The Dallas Cowboys drew nine existing players across 224 selections, slightly above the league average of seven. Dallas landed only one current Cowboys player in each of the first five rounds, with none going in the top 10, and their second-round pick arriving at the final selection of that stanza. The Los Angeles Rams were used as a benchmark, with QB Matt Stafford at No. 3, Edge Myles Garrett at No. 13, and WR Puka Nakua at No. 29 in the redraft. For the Cowboys, Dak Prescott was selected in Round 1 at No. 12, followed by CeeDee Lamb at No. 64 and other additions through Round 7, ending with DB Caleb Downs at No. 209.
