Deadspin | Azzi Fudd lone rookie to compete in WNBA 3-point contest reports that rookie Azzi Fudd will be the only first-year player in the WNBA 3-Point Contest during All-Star weekend. Fudd, who won an NCAA championship with UConn in 2025 and was drafted No. 1 overall by the Dallas Wings in April, will compete in Chicago on Friday night. The field includes six players: Rhyne Howard of the Atlanta Dream, Marina Mabrey of the Toronto Tempo, Bridget Carleton of the Portland Fire, Natisha Hiedeman of the Seattle Storm, and Janelle Salaun of the Golden State Valkyries. Sabrina Ionescu, the defending champion of the contest for the New York Liberty, declined to participate. The event is set as a two-round format, where all six players shoot in the first round and the top two advance for the championship round. The 3-Point Contest starts at 8 p.m. ET and will air on ESPN, with the All-Star Game at 8:30 p.m.
