Este Haim Says 'Genius' Taylor Swift Came Up with the Idea for Custom Knicks Shirts (Exclusive)
Este Haim says the “genius” behind the custom Knicks T-shirt concept for the NBA Finals was Taylor Swift, describing Swift as the one who came up with the idea and her sister Alana as the one who executed it. The DIY blue shirts with orange pop-culture puns were worn at Game 4 on June 10, when the New York Knicks played the San Antonio Spurs. Este, 40, wore “Knickole Kidman,” inspired by Nicole Kidman, 58, who later shared a photo of Este, Swift, and Alana on a jumbotron to Instagram Stories. The trio also used other pun shirts, including “Stevie Knicks” for Swift and “Knickleback” for Alana. Este says public reactions encouraged them, while Alana told Vogue she bought Gildan shirts from Michaels for $2.99 each and used Speedball orange screen-printing ink with puff additive.
