Este Haim Says 'Genius' Taylor Swift Came Up with the Idea for Custom Knicks Shirts (Exclusive)
Este Haim says Taylor Swift came up with the concept for the custom Knicks T-shirts the trio wore at Game 4 of the NBA Finals on June 10. In an exclusive PEOPLE interview, the HAIM bassist and vocalist, 40, credited Swift, 36, with originating the idea and described her sister Alana, 34, as the one who executed the DIY shirts. Este said she provided “the body” for the design process and that the team leaned into pop-culture puns, including shirts reading “Knickole Kidman,” “Stevie Knicks,” and “Knickleback.” She also said she was energized by public reaction once fans embraced the concept. Nicole Kidman, 58, reposted the group on Instagram Stories with “Right there with you girls!” and shared their sing-along moment to “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun.” Reporting notes Alana bought Gildan shirts for $2.99 each and used Speedball orange ink with a puff additive.
