In an exclusive PEOPLE interview, the HAIM bassist and vocalist, 40, credited Swift, 36, with originating the idea and described her sister Alana, 34, as the one who executed the DIY shirts. Este said she provided “the body” for the design process and that the team leaned into pop-culture puns, including shirts reading “Knickole Kidman,” “Stevie Knicks,” and “Knickleback.” She also said she was energized by public reaction once fans embraced the concept.
