Georgia football players on all-white uniforms: 'That's going to bring a spark'

Georgia’s players will debut all-white uniforms this fall, a surprise revealed by head coach Kirby Smart during a Tuesday message before preseason camp. The Bulldogs will wear white helmets, white jerseys and white pants for a week two home game against Western Kentucky on Sept. 12. Linebacker Chris Cole said he was excited because he had come to Georgia as a recruit specifically hoping to wear the all-white look. The program has used other color “blackouts” in past seasons under Mark Richt, including black jerseys vs. Auburn in 2007 and vs. Alabama in 2008. Senior left tackle Earnest Greene and others said the change should energize Sanford Stadium.
