According to Infobae, there was unusually little information leaked about his arrival or the funeral rites. A chartered plane left Fort Lauderdale at midday on Saturday the 8th and landed at Islas Malvinas Airport in Fisherton before heading directly to the Pérez cemetery. Messi missed Inter Miami’s Saturday night home match versus Monterrey in the Leagues Cup, and Miami returns to MLS play on Aug. 15.
