Jayson Tatum reveals how he's getting through watching Knicks in NBA Finals

Jayson Tatum says he's not taking sides as he watches the NBA Finals, choosing to savor ‘good basketball’ rather than root for one team. The Knicks strengthened their grip on the series by winning Game 4, moving to a 3-1 lead after a historic comeback capped by OG Anunoby's tip-in with one second left in regulation. Tatum, a six-time All-Star and Boston’s superstar, continues to follow the series while managing his own comeback from injury. He previously suffered a torn right Achilles in Game 4 of last season, ending his campaign and sidelining him for much of 2025-26, and he returned to play 16 regular-season games this year. He helped Boston win the 2024 title against the Mavericks, while a calf injury kept him out of Game 7 against Philadelphia, a 109-100 Boston loss. Tatum says his past championship makes watching these Finals easier, and he simply enjoys high-quality basketball, not a personal playoff push.
