Juez envía a juicio al futbolista del Real Madrid Ferland Mendy...
A Madrid judge has sent Real Madrid player Ferland Mendy to trial after one of his dogs bit a 17-year-old and injured two other dogs, one of which was later euthanized due to the wounds. The case stems from events on January 4, 2023, when one of Mendy’s four Turkish kangal dogs escaped from the property, attacked two dogs and a young man who came to help the owner, according to the prosecutor’s filing seen by Europa Press. The court ordered Mendy to post a €7,410 bail in an order dated January 2026 and declared the Penal Court in Madrid competent to issue a sentence, though no trial date is set. Prosecutors are seeking a €1,200 fine and €5,700 compensation for medical and surgical costs, while the private accusation requests six months in prison plus a €22,500 fine for physical and moral damages and recovery days.
