Kicker Ryan Jung reclassifies to 2027, accelerating Michigan arrival

Ryan Jung, the No. 1 kicker in the Class of 2028, will now join Michigan in Ann Arbor a year earlier by reclassifying to the Class of 2027. Jung announced the decision on Wednesday, Nov. 4, as first reported by Rivals. Committed to Michigan since June, the Milton High School (Georgia) product transferred from IMG Academy (Florida) and moved from South Korea six years ago. His 2024 eligibility was initially denied by the Georgia High School Athletic Association but later overturned two weeks after the transfer. Earlier this season, he nailed a game-winning 47-yard field goal in Milton’s 49-46 upset over Gainesville. Michigan’s kicking struggles are part of the timing.
