LSU soccer players enter match in light of judge's eligibility order against NCAA rules
xCruzo Brief
LSU soccer players Jazmin Ferguson and Jocelyn Ollivierre entered their match on Sunday after being named in an eligibility lawsuit challenging NCAA rules. The players were listed among plaintiffs in a Louisiana case in which the court granted a group of athletes an additional year of eligibility. Ferguson and Ollivierre, part of LSU’s 2022 recruiting class, were part of the dispute involving the NCAA’s age-based five-year eligibility model. They played at the 21st minute against Arizona. In July, Tampa Bay Sun FC of the USL Super League announced Ferguson as part of its roster. LouisianaSports.net’s Matt Moscona first reported the players’ participation.
