A major LSU football recruiting target, Jayden Anding, is set to announce his commitment on July 1, choosing between LSU and Ole Miss during the Rivals Summer Signing Day show. The 2027 four-star safety took an official visit to Baton Rouge on June 19 and attends Ruston High School in Ruston. According to Rivals’ Industry Rankings, he is ranked as Louisiana’s No. 11 prospect overall and No. 11 at safety for the 2027 class. The report notes that four of Louisiana’s top 15 recruits are already committed to LSU. Head coach Lane Kiffin has emphasized keeping top in-state talent at home since the staff began recruiting. LSU’s 2027 class is currently No. 11 nationally and No. 5 in the SEC, with 14 commitments, including 10 “blue-chip” recruits.
