Natasha Cloud met with WNBA security after Enes Kanter Freedom confrontation

Natasha Cloud met with WNBA and team security after the Sunday confrontation with Enes Kanter Freedom at Chicago’s Wintrust Arena, according to Colin Salao of Front Office Sports. Freedom had stepped toward the court and exchanged words with Cloud before being escorted away and removed from the arena. While Cloud did not speak to reporters afterward, Salao said she discussed the disruption caused by Freedom, who had been “trolling” players and the league on social media over transgender-athlete issues. Sky head coach Tyler Marsh publicly defended Cloud, saying he talked with her and assured she wasn’t a distraction, adding that the team embraces Cloud as someone who protects teammates and those “who need to be protected.” Cloud finished with 16 points, 4 rebounds and 7 assists, earning player of the game honors. Next, Chicago hosts the Connecticut Sun on Tuesday at Mohegan Sun Arena at 7:00 p.m. ET.
