Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Baker Mayfield suffered a dislocated right thumb late in Sunday’s 23-16 home loss to the Minnesota Vikings. Coach Todd Bowles said X-rays showed no fracture and Mayfield will undergo an MRI exam today. The injury came on a fourth-and-13 play with 1:39 remaining, when Mayfield threw a pass intercepted by Minnesota’s Andrew Van Ginkel. Mayfield was hit in the thumb by rushing Blake Cashman, then left in clear pain, grabbing his bloody hand before walking off. Undrafted rookie Jalon Daniels, Tampa’s only other quarterback on the 53-man roster, went 0-for-3 with an interception in limited action and could start next Sunday against visiting Green Bay. In the same game, Vikings star Justin Jefferson left with a left ankle injury in the first quarter. For the Jets, Breece Hall is expected to have an MRI today after a thigh injury in a 31-24 loss to Detroit, while Garrett Wilson was evaluated for concussion symptoms. Miami also lost De’Von Achane for the last three-plus quarters with a knee injury.
