NFL news: Terrion Arnold gets character reference letter from Nick Saban highlights how the former Alabama coach is supporting the Detroit Lions cornerback amid legal trouble. The Lions released Arnold on Monday after his arrest last week on charges of armed robbery and kidnapping. According to the report, Arnold turned himself in to authorities on Wednesday, accused of leading the abduction and beating of three men he believed had stolen $100,000 and luxury goods from a rental home in Tampa, Florida. The 33rd Team’s Ari Meirov reported that Nick Saban submitted a letter to the court, calling Arnold “exceptional” in character and describing respect and kindness toward people around him over six years. Arnold was Detroit’s No. 24 pick in 2024 and had two years and $4.8 million remaining on his rookie contract.
