Okot Explodes For Career-High Points To Secure WNBA Player of the Game Honors spotlights Madina Okot’s breakout effort as the Atlanta Dream defeated the Toronto Tempo 94-87 on June 23 at State Farm Arena in Nairobi, Kenya. The 21-year-old rookie earned Player of the Game off the bench, posting a career-high 18 points with 7 rebounds and a 77.8% field goal rate (7-of-9) in 18 minutes. Okot scored 16 of her 18 in the first half, using length and quick footwork to control the paint and repeatedly establish post position. With Allisha Gray also totaling 16 first-half points, Atlanta built a 59-41 lead at halftime. Toronto tried to rally in the second half behind Marina Mabrey’s 23 points, but Atlanta sealed a fourth straight win using defensive stops and 23 assists on 34 made shots. The victory pushed Atlanta to 12-4 and first place in the Eastern Conference.
