Oregon Ducks Get Candid About Heading to Japan For Football Showcase
The Oregon Ducks are positioning their NIL and football operations to expand internationally, with a Japan trip scheduled for late June. From June 25 through June 27, coach Dan Lanning and seven student-athletes will travel to Tokyo for the “Tokyo Oregon Football Showcase presented by Flight Club,” an event described as first of its kind involving Division Street (Oregon’s NIL group), sneaker retailer Flight Club, and the Japan Gridiron Association. Prior to departure, the athletes shared details in a 55-second video with Big Ten Network, including shots of the group wearing “Tokyo Calling” merchandise tied to the collaboration. The seven travelers include junior quarterback Dante Moore; sophomore wide receiver Dakorien Moore; sophomore running back Dierre Hill Jr.; junior tight end Jamari Johnson; sophomore wide receiver Jeremiah McClellan; sophomore running back Jordon Davison; and senior wide receiver Evan Stewart. Before arriving, internet attention surged after billboards featuring Dante Moore appeared in Shinjuku. The article also notes Moore said it was his first time overseas.
