PREP BOYS SOCCER: Goshen blanks Westview 3-0 to stay unbeaten

Goshen extended its unbeaten start to 3-0 with a 3-0 victory over Westview on Saturday evening. Goshen’s offense pressed early and controlled possession in the first half, but Westview held firm, leaving the game scoreless at halftime. The breakthrough finally came midway through the second half when junior forward Junior Lopez scored in the 60th minute. Senior midfielder Bentley Medina doubled the advantage eight minutes later, making it 2-0, and neither team scored again as Goshen kept a clean sheet. The RedHawks never allowed a goal this season. Westview goalkeeper Lucas Swanson made several key saves, including stopping Lopez’s shot in the 13th minute.
