Randle recalls lessons learned as a veteran

Julius Randle, 31, is back in New York after being traded from the Timberwolves to the Brooklyn Nets, and he’s leaning on lessons learned as a young player with Kobe Bryant. Speaking Monday, Randle said the example set by Bryant has “carried” his career into his 13th season, as he looks to guide a young Nets roster. Acquired in a four-team trade that sent LaMelo Ball to Minnesota, Randle praised 6-foot-8 guard Egor Dëmin and Mikel Brown Jr., drafted No. 6. The Nets had an NBA-record five first-round picks in 2025, went 20-62 last season, and have lost at least 50 games each of the last three years.
