Relationships were key in Washington football securing four-star OL
Relationships were key for Washington football as the Huskies secured commitments for their 2027 offensive line class, including four-star interior prospect Gecova Doyal. Washington added Doyal on Wednesday, with the 6-foot-3, 285-pound player from in-state Puyallup High School choosing the program of head coach Jedd Fisch over Oregon, Utah, and UCLA. According to 247Sports Composite rankings, Doyal is rated as the nation’s No. 361 recruit and No. 16 interior offensive lineman. 247Sports’ Gabe Brooks described him as an aggressive high school tackle projecting inside, highlighting power, leverage, and foot quickness in pads. Doyal attributed the decision largely to relationships with the coaching staff and players, and said the education factor was a draw as well. The Huskies now hold pledges from five of the top seven Washington-state prospects for 2027, with Doyal described as the hardest to land.
