Return to Philly for former Sixers star Ben Simmons. See where he signed

Ben Simmons is no longer expected to return to Philadelphia in the near term after agreeing to a contract with the Sacramento Kings on Sept. 4. The former 76ers guard signed a one-year, $3.5 million deal for the 2026-2027 NBA season. After playing only 18 games in 2024-2025, Simmons said he worked out in Miami and planned to be at full strength by July 20, his 30th birthday. Since leaving the league, he has focused on professional sport fishing, and in May his South Florida Sails boat won the Sport Fishing Championship Blue Marlin Open at Walker’s Cay in the Bahamas. Simmons has also sought treatment for his back and knee. His Philly exit followed the 2021 playoff series vs. Atlanta and a subsequent trade to Brooklyn for James Harden.
