New satellite imagery obtained by Business Insider and captured in early August by US spatial intelligence firm Vantor shows the extent of damage from Ukrainian drone strikes on Wildberries warehouses across Russia. The images depict four facilities either heavily damaged or completely destroyed after attacks aimed at Russia’s largest online retailer. Wildberries, launched in 2024 and often compared to Amazon for merchants listing goods online, has faced accusations from Kyiv of supporting Moscow’s war effort by selling military and dual-use items, including tactical vests and drone control goggles, as well as enabling logistics. Ukraine has hit roughly 20 Wildberries sites since mid-July, reportedly killing at least a dozen people. Ukrainian defense firm Fire Point says its FP-1 fixed-wing drones were used to strike a hub near St. Petersburg that could reportedly hold more than 57 million units.
