Week 4 of SGV Varsity football delivered a long list of local results, with Friday’s slate featuring several major storylines. St. Francis beat neighboring La Cañada in their first meeting in 41 years. JSerra rallied through a second-half takeover by QB Hayes Cloutier to defeat Bishop Amat 37-28. Damien also ended a skid, beating Salesian 38-21, while La Mirada used a second-half rally to edge El Rancho 19-18. South Hills topped Santa Fe 29-22 in overtime and Nogales rolled past Covina 47-22. Charter Oak beat Long Beach Jordan 57-0, and Anaheim Canyon defeated Diamond Bar 58-16. Thursday’s highlights included Arcadia’s 47-0 win over La Puente and Corona del Mar’s late surge to beat La Serna 30-24.
