Soggy, windy and huge stakes: No. 2 Georgia vs. No. 6 Alabama takes center stage on ANF Gametime

No. 2 Georgia vs. No. 6 Alabama is set for Saturday, Oct. 10 at 7:30 p.m. Eastern, with the broadcast focus on ANF Gametime from Tuscaloosa amid rainy, windy conditions and hurricane activity along the Gulf Coast. The matchup arrives as a major SEC showdown for both teams entering 5-0 and 3-0 in conference play. Georgia hasn’t won at Alabama in Tuscaloosa since 2007, but it brings a defense that has the nation’s 51.4 points-per-game offense behind quarterback Gunner Stockton. Alabama counters with Heisman Trophy contender Keelon Russell and an offense averaging 49.6 points. ESPN-like stakes include SEC title-game momentum and potential impact on Texas’ No. 1 AP ranking.
