Someone Is Going To Be Fired,' 'Who Thought This Was a Good Idea?' -- NFL Fans React As Falcons' Throwback Logo Draws Controversial Comparison

The Atlanta Falcons’ throwback look for their Week 7 matchup against the undefeated San Francisco 49ers sparked backlash after the team posted a retro-logo graphic on social media. Fans compared the design to Nazi-era imagery, pointing to the color scheme and the Falcons’ claw shape, which they said made the comparison easy. While many reactions were framed as trolling and jokes, outlets including TMZ and Awful Announcing covered the controversy. Some fans argued the colors and logo have existed since the 1960s and questioned how it passed approval. On the field, the 49ers are 6-0, while Atlanta’s defense ranks fifth in PFN’s Defense Impact Score (80.9), and the Falcons are trying to avoid falling to 2-5.
