South Walton football shuts out FWB, improves to 2-0

South Walton improved to 2-0 with a dominant 35-0 shutout over Fort Walton Beach on Friday night at Steve Riggs Stadium, following a 50-0 win over Gulf Breeze in the season opener. Quarterback JD Brown accounted for two touchdown passes, while Max Madden added a pair of touchdown runs. Just as notable, South Walton extended its scoreless stretch to eight quarters. The Seahawks also kept pressure on Fort Walton early: after a fake punt put them at their own 35, the Vikings failed to finish drives and twice turned over downs. Fort Walton’s longest play was a 27-yard completion from Lavin McDaniel to Cannon Wilbur, though the offense struggled with a collapsing pocket.
