xCruzo Brief
Texas secured a major piece of its 2027 recruiting class by landing five-star running back Landen Williams-Callis, who committed to the Longhorns on Saturday. The 5-foot-7.5, 185-pound prospect from Richmond, Texas, is ranked No. 3 among running backs and No. 29 overall by the 247Sports composite. He chose Texas over finalists Texas A&M, Missouri, Houston and SMU, bringing Steve Sarkisian’s class to 22 commitments. Williams-Callis has 7,551 rushing yards and 125 touchdowns across three seasons at Thomas E. Randle High School, including 3,502 yards and 59 scores as a junior and Gatorade Texas Football Player of the Year honors. He will enter his senior year 3,828 yards shy of the state career rushing record.
