Two Tennessee starters received an honor from a popular college football video game, and one might not be who many fans would expect
EA Sports’ College Football 27 is set to launch worldwide on July 9, 2026, and Tennessee’s roster received limited recognition from the game developer. According to EA’s position-based top 10 lists released Wednesday, no Tennessee Vols appeared on defense or across the game’s skill-position rankings. The Volunteers did place two offensive linemen in the top 10 for their respective spots. Rising sophomore tackle David Sanders, Jr. ranked No. 9 with an overall rating of 88, while guard Wendell Moe, Jr. was the No. 10 guard at 90. Moe transferred from Arizona and started in Tennessee’s interior last season, allowing one sack and nine pressures, according to Pro Football Focus. Sanders was not active for Tennessee’s first four games due to injury but produced effectively in his freshman season. The article also notes that fans might have expected wide receiver Braylon Staley, who totaled 68 catches for 837 yards and six touchdowns while earning SEC Freshman of the Year honors.
