Utah Basketball Offered Class of 2028 Forward Baer Bailey

Utah has offered Baer Bailey, a 6'8" Class of 2028 power forward from Greater Atlanta Christian in Norcross, Georgia. Bailey is ranked No. 84 in Rivals' 2028 composite and still has two high school seasons left to develop. The offer came after assistant coach Raphael Chillious saw him at an Adidas circuit event in South Bend, and followed a phone conversation with coach Jensen. Utah is among four programs to offer so far, alongside Georgia Tech, Tulane, and Sacramento State, with Clemson and Florida State also in the mix. Bailey has not yet visited Utah but expressed enthusiasm about the program and its environment, including outdoor opportunities.

Bailey compares his game to Jabari Smith Jr., citing his ability to shoot, handle, and guard multiple positions. Utah's staff has prioritized versatile stretch-four bigs who can shoot from range and impact defense. Bailey emphasized that building relationships and fitting into a program's culture are important to him. Although still two years away from signing, his recruitment is already gaining steady momentum with multiple programs pursuing him.
