Vancouver Whitecaps to play MLS sprint season at BC Place after extending lease

The Vancouver Whitecaps will play the 2027 MLS sprint season at BC Place after extending their lease through the sprint period, the club said. Ticket sales for the condensed campaign begin Tuesday, with matches running February through May. All 30 MLS teams will play a 14-game regular season, followed by single-elimination playoffs. The league then shifts to a summer-to-spring calendar starting July 2027. Whitecaps CEO Axel Schuster said the extension is meant to support ticket sales while the club and officials continue working on a longer-term stadium solution. Some season ticket prices may rise with new premium sections, including the Tunnel Club and Creekside Terrace.
