Who should be The Providence Journal Boys Soccer Player of the Week? Vote now

La Salle, Smithfield and Johnston have separated themselves early in the 2026 boys soccer season, with each program clinching the No. 1 seed in its playoff field as postseason play begins this week. La Salle enters after a 4-0 shutout of Chariho on Friday night, handing the Chargers their first loss and setting up a potential semifinal vs. rival Bishop Hendricken. Defending champion Barrington and North Kingstown may also be headed for a rematch after Barrington beat North Kingstown on penalty kicks for the 2025 title. East Providence and Lincoln finished above .500, while Johnston is the only undefeated team. Vote now for Providence Journal Boys Player of the Week; the poll ends in mid-November.
