Why Tony Pollard Could Be the Giants' Best Fallback if the Jonathan Taylor Bid Fails

With the Colts reportedly pricing Jonathan Taylor’s trade at a “huge haul” of draft capital, the Giants’ best fallback for upgrading their run game may be Tony Pollard. New York is still pushing to strengthen its roster ahead of the NFL’s Nov. 10 trade deadline, and it has been linked to Taylor as head coach John Harbaugh seeks a bell-cow option. The challenge is that the Colts’ asking price appears out of reach, especially as the Giants are already missing a couple of mid-round picks in 2027. If the Taylor pursuit fails and Pollard is available, his recent production and reliability would fit their needs.
