Acrab Unveils GΞLIX 1 SoC and Agent Box, Bringing State-of-the-Art AI to the Edge | Taiwan News | Jul. 23, 2026 15:07
Acrab unveiled the GΞLIX 1 edge AI system-on-chip and its Agent Box device, positioning the products for “agentic” AI that can complete tasks locally rather than rely on the cloud. Announced July 23, 2026 from Singapore via PRNewswire, the 5-nanometer SoC is built to support models in the 100 billion-parameter class and includes full-stack software for responsive private agents at the edge. Acrab says Agent Box is a high-performance personal edge AI center featuring local large-model inference, persistent memory, multimodal interaction, and an orchestration layer to coordinate actions across agents and connected devices. The company claims users’ data and memories stay stored locally, and that the system replaces cloud token fees with a one-time investment. Acrab CEO Dr. Ken Phua highlighted the computing challenge of running 100B models at desk-sized form factors.
