Agentic AI Success Starts by Reimagining Existing Processes, Says Research
Agentic AI success hinges on rethinking existing processes, a theme highlighted by Pegasystems’ new study presented at PegaWorld Las Vegas. The research, conducted with Savanta, surveyed more than 500 business and IT decision-makers worldwide who have already implemented agentic AI projects. It found that 96% had reimagined processes to foster collaboration and innovation, with 53% doing so to a significant extent, while 80% said business and IT were ready to embrace new technology and ideas to explore new possibilities. The shift aims to deliver more consistent, predictable outcomes across systems and platforms, a goal reinforced by automation initiatives. The study highlights that 71% placed automating and simplifying complex processes among their top two pre-deployment objectives, with 45% naming it the top priority. It also notes that 95% have a corporate-level strategy and execution plan, and 65% hold comprehensive, pre-agreed success metrics tied to business outcomes. Looking ahead, 61% expect significant improvements in customer experience, and 58% report that their execution has yielded predictable results and measurable value. Unveiled at PegaWorld, the findings emphasize culture change and cross-functional collaboration as core drivers of agentic AI adoption.
