Jolly to pick Gwen Graham as running mate, sources say
Democratic strategist updates indicate a strategic pivot as Jolly positions Gwen Graham as his running mate, a move analysts say could broaden appeal to moderate voters in a challenging race. The timing follows Jerry Demings’ withdrawal from the field, which reportedly makes Jolly a clearer, center‑leaning option rather than being pulled left in the primary. Officials expect an official announcement during a Thursday rally at Florida International University’s Graham Center Ballroom. A second source with the Florida Democratic Party confirmed Graham as the pick. Jolly and Graham previously served together in Congress from 2015 to 2017, with Graham later mounting a 2018 Florida gubernatorial bid. Mark Riddle, Jolly’s senior adviser, noted there would be no announcement at that moment.
