Apple HomeView: Everything you need to know about Apple's new smart home brain
Apple expanded its smart-home lineup at its “Welcome Home” event on Oct. 13 with a new wall-focused hub: HomeView. The device is an official alternative to long-running rumors, featuring a 7-inch touchscreen, built-in speakers, Apple’s new conversational Siri, and a centralized dashboard for managing security cameras and smart lighting. HomeView also personalizes by recognizing different household members and supports FaceTime, Apple Music, and Messages. Preorders open Oct. 13 in the U.S. and other markets, with general availability on Nov. 13, 2026. Apple offers two models starting at $299: the standard tabletop version and a slimmer wall-mounted version. The tabletop price excludes mounting hardware, requiring a compatible Schneider Home mount; a PoE variant arrives in early 2027. Siri remains unavailable in the EU.
