Apple HomeView Price and Features: Is Apple's New $299 Smart Display Worth Buying?

Apple’s Home View is positioned as a 7-inch smart home hub meant to centralize control of connected devices, especially for users already invested in Apple’s ecosystem. The device includes a touchscreen, speakers, and a camera, and comes in stand-mounted and wall-mounted versions. Priced around $300, it integrates Siri voice control and works with HomeKit-enabled devices, Apple Music, and Calendar. It uses an A18 chip, a 500-nit 7-inch display with True Tone, and supports up to six users via facial recognition—without full Face ID capabilities. The review notes drawbacks versus Google and Amazon options, including limited functionality and, for the wall version, missing a woofer and requiring extra mounting adapters.
