Apple iOS 27 is almost here: When you can download it

Apple says iOS 27 will be available for compatible iPhones starting Monday, Sept. 14, after months of testing and a Siri AI beta. The company previewed the update during its “Surprise and Shine” event on Sept. 9, alongside new iPhone 18 Pro models, a foldable iPhone Duo, fresh Apple Watches, and AirPods 5. Apple typically rolls out iOS at 10:00 a.m. PT (1:00 p.m. ET). Users can check Settings > General > Software Update, or enable Automatic Updates, which requires the phone to be locked and charging. iOS 27 adds “Siri AI” powered by Google Gemini, plus AI photo-editing features such as spatial reframing.
