Reports cited the ransomware group World Leaks as the source, publishing over 200,000 files on June 12 on its dark web leak site, according to Reuters. Tata Electronics confirmed the breach and said it is conducting a forensic investigation. The leak reveals which suppliers compete for specific contracts and could expose where Apple may be vulnerable among vendors. Paolo Pescatore of PP Foresight said the incident likely required a foothold inside the organization or compromised credentials, underlining that cybersecurity is only as strong as the weakest link in the chain.
