Apple Is Raising Streaming Prices and the Next iPhone Could Cost You $500 More

Apple is increasing subscription prices in the U.S. and, according to market expectations, new iPhones could also cost more. On August 28, Apple raised the Apple TV subscription to $14.99 per month from $12.99. Today’s product event is expected to push iPhone pricing up by $200 to $500 versus comparable iPhone 17 models, with pricing changes framed by Tim Cook as driven by supply-chain “math” tied to memory costs amid a “100-year flood.” The company also lifted Apple One Individual to $21.95 from $19.95, while Apple One Family and Premier remained unchanged after earlier increases in July alongside Apple Music. Revenue was $109.42 billion, with iPhone at $54.3 billion and Services at $30.7 billion.
