Apple officially rolls out iOS 27.2. Here's what's new
Apple officially launched iOS 27.2 on Monday, rolling it out as a software update for all compatible iPhones. Installation is straightforward through Settings > General > Software Update—no beta setup required. The update focuses on incremental upgrades across apps and features rather than a major overhaul. Siri AI expands to additional languages including French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish, while English-speaking users gain the ability for Siri to recall past conversations with Apple’s chatbot. Messages will now surface context-sensitive suggestions for quick actions in Calendar or Reminders. FaceTime group calls get Dual Capture, and new iPhone “Duo” owners receive Apple Pencil support. Edge Light uses the Duo display to illuminate faces during low-light video calls, plus small changes in Apple TV, Podcasts, and sports multiview on Apple TV.
