Applegreen opens €15m M7 service area

Applegreen has opened a new €15m service area at Junction 9 on the M7 near Naas, adding 150 jobs. The site opened at 9:30am on Monday, but customers queued from 3am for opening-day promotions, including a chance to win free Popeyes chicken sandwiches and Taco Bell burrito meals for a year. The development includes Popeyes, Taco Bell, M&S Food, Crafted Kitchen & Deli, Braeburn Coffee, plus an Applegreen forecourt and convenience store. Popeyes’ outlet is the first Drive-Thru in the Republic of Ireland, with another Drive-Thru brand planned later this year. Eight ultra-fast EV chargers provide 16 charging points, alongside a dedicated HGV truck stop.
