Asks High Court to force xAI to stop Grok making sexualised images of her
Jess Asato, the Labour MP for Lowestoft, has asked the High Court in London for an order forcing Elon Musk’s xAI to permanently stop its Grok chatbot from generating sexualised images of her. Reuters reported the move on 28 July as part of a broader legal test over how far an AI developer is responsible for what its tools produce. Asato seeks “effective and permanent technical measures” to prevent manipulated images, building on a June filing alleging misuse of private information and breaches of UK data protection law, and asking for damages plus acknowledgement of wrongdoing. Her claim cites earlier prompts that produced sexual imagery, including a video she says depicts her being chloroformed for a sexual assault. xAI has not filed a defence, and no allegations have been tested in court.
