Council Post: An App's First 60 Seconds Matter More Than Its Feature List
xCruzo Brief
A co-founder and COO of Liberty Pixel, Michal Rahamim, argues that for apps, the first 60 seconds matter more than a long feature list. He points to Appsflyer’s 2025 uninstall benchmark report, which found that more than half of installed apps are removed within 30 days and that most uninstalls occur on day one, based on about 1.3 billion installs and 402 million uninstalls. Rahamim says onboarding determines whether users “get” the value early, warning that if users don’t understand the benefit immediately, they judge the loading screen. He recommends reducing friction, showing value through action, and delaying registration when possible.
