Critical Infrastructure, AI Security and Cyber Geopolitics Take Centre Stage on Day 2 at GISEC 2026

Critical infrastructure risk, AI-driven security operations and cyber geopolitics were the focus on Day 2 of GISEC Global 2026 in Dubai. Held at Dubai Exhibition Centre (DEC), Expo City Dubai, the event runs under the theme “Cyber First: The New Digital Order” and is hosted by the UAE Cyber Security Council, with the Dubai Electronic Security Center (DESC) as the official government cybersecurity partner. The program, supported by the Ministry of Interior and Dubai Police, includes participants from 182 countries. Sessions examined operational technology (OT) and industrial control systems (ICS), showing how threats can become operational and physical risks, including through digital-twin manipulation. Speakers also explored AI accelerating both attacks and defenses.
